Hi! I spoke with Lisa Marshall from the Chapel last week because I have been praying about and would love to do jail ministry this summer. I have never done it before, but was profoundly affected when I visited the jail for a nursing clinical. She told me to contact Dennis & I left him a voicemail last week. I just graduated, & I have a friend who is also wanting to come serve. We are interested in both one-on-ones and/or group ministry with the women. I attend Covenent of Grace Church in Copley, & my friend Annie attends the Chapel. Thank you so much & I look forward to hearing from you all. God bless!

Hello, I would like more information on this ministry. My father is retired and an amazing man of God. He has graduated from Moody Bible Institute and has been a Bible teacher and evangelist when he wasn’t working full time and being a father full time. His gifts and skills are conducive to having bible studies with inmates, one on one mentoring and giving men the clear plan of salvation. My father is 74 and still works a part time job and is very sharp mentally and gifted orally. Please contact me so that I can learn about this ministry and to explore volunteer opportunities.

My name is …………………from ……………………… Fellowship. I was contacting you in regard to a young lady (27) who had just been arrested this week for setting fire to her father’s house. Her name is ………………. Our understanding was that she was being held at the Summit County Jail. She had attended our church very sporadically over the years. We just wanted to see if your ministry had any contact with her. If not, what steps can we to take to visit her while she is being held.

Its amazing that you are working on a post release ministry. I went to church yesterday, {Grace Bible Ch.}And I thought of contacting you about my daughter’s prerelease from prison. My concern for her is housing and employment. I have custody of her two daughters, and would love for her to come stay with us till she gets back on her feet. She got baptized Feb. 6 in prison and wants to continue her walk with Christ, I know she can do this, she is doing so much better, I just pray that she is home with us soon, we all miss her, especially her daughters Destiny and Charlotte. I will continue to pray for your ministry, and thank you for visiting my daughter Emily Foss last fall when she was at SCJ. Love and Prayers, Susan Baker

You vivsited my daughter Emily Foss last fall in SCJ, she was sentenced to 3yrs. nonmandetory, her lawyer said she would serve 6 months with good behavior. This Mar will be her 6 months. She got baptized Feb. 6 in prison. She is doing very well with all she can sign up for, waiting list for everything. She attends church regulary, SAMI classes NA, AA. I know she will do well when she gets out, but my concern is housing and employeent. I attend Grace Bible Church is how I heard of you. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you, Susan Baker

I’ve read about Emily, but to hear the words and the story come straight from her mouth at the Broken Chains Banquet – she made an incredible impact. She definitely has a gift for writing — succinct and yet such powerful mental images conjured up from her words! What an amazing grace story, and what an Awesome God we have! Emily, my prayers are with you to continue on this path God has brought you. He is faithful, even when we are not. Remember that when the time comes that you second guess this new life. Thank you for sharing your story. Will be praying for you!

I am also excited for Emily and her family. It takes hard work and dedication for a person to give up their past ways of life and walk with Jesus. The choice to let go and let God is the most rewarding one of the two. Eternal life with God that is what it’s all about. I pray that Emily will continue to choose the right directions. I pray she will keep Jesus her main focus so that He can continue to guide her on the right path. Change is the most difficult until it becomes a habit. It is possible and Emily you are so worth it. God bless You and keep up the great work!
