Who is a good fit for Lydia’s Home? 

Women in Summit County who are age 18 or over and are currently recovering from substance abuse and addiction are eligible to apply for residency at Lydia’s Home.

We also serve women who may be experiencing additional challenges, like physical or mental health issues, homelessness, and reentry following incarceration.

What is Lydia’s Home like? 

Lydia’s Home is a six-bed residential recovery home for women in the City of Green. The home and the grounds have been completely remodeled and restored to provide a beautiful, clean, safe home environment, outdoor gardens, and recreation areas for women in recovery.

What can I expect?

  • Each resident will complete a structured, four-phase, faith-centered program that typically requires six to nine months to complete.

  • Each resident will receive ongoing mentoring and support from a Certified Peer Recovery Support staff member.

  • Each resident will have the opportunity to work with a mentor.  

  • Each resident will have the opportunity to participate in community service assignments.

  • Individual Assessment Plan and Case Management Services

  • 25-week Substance Abuse & Recovery Education Program

  • 8-week Relapse Prevention Education

  • Thinking for Change Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Program

  • Workforce Development Services

  • Employment Placement Assistance (Ohio Works Job Center)

  • Soft Skills, Time Management, and Self-care Skills Education

  • Financial Literacy Training

  • GED and/or Parenting Education

  • Support in Meeting Legal Requirements

  • Identity Restoration Support (ID, Birth Certificate, Driver’s License)

  • Transportation Assistance

  • Mental Health Support (Portage Path Behavioral Health)

  • Medical Care, Including Establishing Medical Benefits

  • Medication Management (Secure and Staff-managed)

  • Community Service Options (40 Hours)

  • Family Reconciliation Support

  • Physical Fitness Room

  • Permanent Housing Placement Assistance

  • One-year Mentoring Support Following Graduation
