All Proceeds Benefit Broken Chains Ministry’s Home Ownership Program
Join Broken Chains Ministry (BCM) for its Second Annual Bike For Mike 3-mile Ride and 1-mile Walk on May 21 at 9 a.m. at Lake High School (LHS) Stadium in Uniontown, Ohio. This family friendly event aims to raise money for the ministry’s new Home Ownership Program.
“Last year’s event raised more than $20,000 and helped us launch our new Home Ownership Program,” said Dennis Shawhan, executive director of Broken Chains Ministry. “Funds raised by this event will give successful clients the opportunity to apply for quality housing and realize the dream of home ownership.”
Hosted by the LHS National Honor Society, the event is organized by LHS seniors, Allison McSherry and Miranda West. Pre-sale tickets are available on EventBrite for $15.00 through May 12; from May 13 until race day, tickets will be $20. All proceeds up to $8,000 will be matched by an anonymous sponsor.
“We’re grateful to our community partners, especially Lake High School for hosting this event for its second year,” Shawhan continued.
